NADA U Now Offering Legal & Regulatory Webinars
The education and training arm of the National Automobile Dealers Association revealed today it is now offering all of its legal and regulatory webinars at no cost to NADA and American Truck Dealer members and their staffs.
This is now an added membership benefit, officials noted.
Officials also noted that dealer members may offer this new benefit to their contracted financial and legal professionals, including CPAs, attorneys and others who work with them on compliance matters.
How can dealers do this?
They just need to add these professionals as licensed users within their NADA U account, the organization noted.
Commenting on the added membership benefits, Michelle Primm, managing partner of Cascade Auto Group and chair of NADA’s Dealership Operations Committee, said, “Dealers face an enormous challenge in staying updated and compliant on complex legal and regulatory requirements, so NADA U has responded by expanding access to critical information that will make that job a lot easier."
John Lyboldt, vice president of dealership operations at NADA, chimed in, noting,“As we work to educate dealers on compliance issues, NADA’s legislative and regulatory teams continuously interface with lawmakers to ensure their interests are protected.”
The organization also offered the following list of key topics that its legal and regulatory Webinars will focus on:
• Credit score disclosure requirements
• The Family and Medical Leave Act
• The Federal Trade Commission’s new model privacy notice
• FTC Red Flags Rule
• The new Small Business Administration dealer floorplan loan program
• Organized labor issues and response
• Wage and hour compliance
• Risk-based pricing rule
• UNICAP safe harbor methods
• Comprehensive Safety Analysis program
Lastly, the organization highlighted that on top of these now-complimentary legal/regulatory Webinars, NADA U benefits for NADA and ATD members include: 10 Learning Hub programs, Driven guides, NADAPerks, MarketINSIGHT Webinars and all resources in the industry section of Resource Toolbox.
