Top Super Bowl Performer to Receive Camaro Convertible
The Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XLV between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers on Feb. 6 can leave with a sporty vehicle — just before it arrives in franchise dealer inventory.
General Motors revealed the player who enjoys the best performance will receive a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible. A media panel and fan vote on www.superbowl.com will determine the MVP Award winner. The selection will be announced during the Super Bowl XLV Postgame Show on Fox, which is also presented by Chevrolet.
Company officials noted the Camaro Convertible also is scheduled to appear on the field during the postgame celebration at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, site of the game.
Along with the Camaro Convertible, the Super Bowl MVP receives the Pete Rozelle Trophy, a silver trophy made by Tiffany & Co.
Chevrolet is eager to show off this model at the big game. The brand believes the convertible continues the momentum of Camaro. The vehicle is available with an efficient 3.6-liter Direct Injection V6 engine. The SS model has a V8-powered, 426-horsepower engine.
“The new Camaro Convertible arrives in dealerships in February and will be a fitting reward for the MVP,” explained Rick Scheidt, U.S. vice president of Chevrolet marketing.
“It’s a great opportunity for Chevy to have Camaro play a role on one of the world’s biggest stages, the Super Bowl,” Scheidt added.
