TORRANCE, Calif. -

Toyota revealed Friday that Scott Heyer, a long-time corporate manager of fleet/TRAC/TCUV for Toyota, has moved on to a new position. Taking on Heyer’s former role will be Dave Depew, former corporate manager — distribution.

Heyer is moving into the role of corporate manager — sales administration/Toyota division, where he will focus on retail sales.

"I have truly enjoyed having had the opportunity to develop so many great relationships within the fleet industry," Heyer told Auto Remarketing Friday.

Mike Reding, Toyota’s vice president of TMS Sales Support & International Operations said Heyer will now be working with Toyota’s regional sales offices and private distributors.

“We wish Scott well in his new role having served for over 11 years in the fleet department,” Reding pointed out.

He went on to say that Depew is a 28-year Toyota veteran and has served in various field and headquarter assignments. For instance, he served as general manager in the Portland region and the Lexus Eastern area.

In Depew’s most recent assignment as corporate manager — distribution, he was responsible for coordination with Toyota’s production plants, matching supply to demand in line with the company’s annual sales plan, the automaker reported.
