OAK BROOK, Ill. -

The Provision inventory management system from vAuto — which blends data tools from AutoTrader.com and Manheim — is now available on Android- and Apple-powered smartphones and mobile devices.

The tool was released in November and is designed to help dealers locate the best used cars for the right price. Now, dealers can tap into Provision while they are on the go.

“Provision’s mobile integration means dealers and their buyers have all the market data and information they need to efficiently acquire and merchandise the ‘right’ vehicles at their fingertips,” stated vAuto president Keith Jezek. “In today’s marketplace, 24/7-anywhere-access to inventory management data, technology and tools is absolutely essential for success.”

With the mobile integration, the system now offers geolocation technology that can identify auction locations. Vehicle buy list and bidding recommendations are automatically pulled up.

“Our goal is to make sure dealers and their buyers hit the ground running, working faster and smarter as they evaluate and bid on vehicles,” noted Jezek.
Sharing more about Provision, officials noted that dealers can use it to figure out:

—What vehicles to buy
—What to pay
—Where to find them

By tapping into Provision through their mobile devices, on-the-go dealers can access and manage buy list, condition reports and bidding recommendations; gauge the performance of used cars on their lot and adjust price and merchandising accordingly; and create a more efficient transportation and merchandising process for cars they end up buying.

“Provision is designed to make sourcing and acquiring used vehicles less difficult and more efficient for dealers,” Jezek shared. ”Provision’s mobile integration gives dealers greater ease and flexibility to keep pace with a fast-moving marketplace.”
