VIN Viper Enters Hand-Held Appraisal Marketplace
CHARLESTON, S.C. — Selig Technologies is the latest company to roll out a hand-held tool meant to help dealers and auction company management access vehicle information quickly.
Executives touted VIN Viper as a mobile device with a built-in VIN scanner that's capable of instantly returning real-time data from a host of proprietary sources. Providers that Selig mentioned included Black Book, AuctionNet, NADA, Kelley Blue Book, Galves Auto Price List, Carfax and AutoCheck.
Stating that's it's designed and built "by car people for car people," Selig executives explained VIN Viper incorporates an interface similar to today's latest smartphones. They contend users can scan several vehicles in minutes and share data with others via e-mail or manage the information with the uniquely designed desktop suite application.
The desktop suite can allow users to manage the mobile device, create new appraisals, synchronize VIN scans and create custom reports.
Selig believes VIN Viper can return used-vehicle data and history reports up to five times faster than any competitor — both to the mobile device and to the online desktop suite.
"We designed VIN Viper with a simple philosophy — save time, save money, sell cars," declared Jason Seligman, president of Selig Technologies.
"VIN Viper is the fastest, most reliable appraisal system on the market. It instantly retrieves real-time data from our data providers and is updated automatically with each VIN scan. It's quick and above all, it's easy," Seligman continued.
"This is the one vehicle appraisal system that combines all the industry's top auto value providers into one instant and easy to use application because in today's competitive automotive marketplace, it's important to know more than the person next to you," he added.
