Westlake Reveals First Quarter Top Auctions
Revealed Wednesday, Westlake Financial Services has named its top auctions for the first quarter of 2012.
And gaining the title of Top Overall Auction is ADESA Los Angeles.
Commenting on the news, Bill Walters, vice president of remarketing at Westlake, says that ADESA Los Angeles “has been steadily improving their performance in the two years we have been running with them. They have built a good reputation for service on both the buyer and seller side.”
Next up was Kansas City Independent, coming in as 2nd Place Overall Auction. Norwalk Auto Auction followed in 3rd.
Walters went on to say that both Kansas City Independent and Norwalk Auto Auction continue to do well in the rankings due to “consistently strong sale performance and high service scores. They are usually highly competitive in our rankings from quarter to quarter.”
Moving along, ABC Birmingham was named Top Service Auction for Q1 by Westlake Financial.
“Both their inside and outside staff, generally, provide excellent service,” said Walters of the Alabama auction.
“They also score high in their handling of our certification program,” he added.
In conclusion Westlake president Ian Anderson congratulated Westlake’s current Top Auctions.
“With 2012 well underway and a record tax season almost behind us, Westlake and its subsidiaries continue to set new auction records. We appreciate the continued support our remarketing department receives from the auction community and look forward to a prosperous second quarter. Congratulations Westlake Top Auctions!” he said.
And Walters also noted that overall, the nation’s auctions saw a successful first quarter, due in part to the positive results of tax season.
“Nationally, we have seen an uptick in overall auction results due to tax season, with particular strength in the western part of the country. Demand in these markets has been surprisingly firm through the first quarter,” he further explained.
