What’s new at Used Car Week?
Like the Earp brothers in “Tombstone,” the used-car industry is reuniting in Arizona this year for Used Car Week.
For the first time since 2018, the event will be held at the Westin Kierland in Scottsdale. While the sunshine, balmy climate and cool desert nights remain, much has changed in the five years since Used Car Week made its way to the Grand Canyon State.
So, while you saddle up for this ride into the Wild West, here’s a trail map on new horizons to discover:
UCW adds Can Con track
This year, we welcome yet another piece to Used Car Week: Can Con.
Can Con will offer agenda content specific to the Canadian used-car retail, remarketing and auto-finance industry. Can Con is designed to continue the momentum from CMG’s Canada’s Used Car Week in June and will offer a fourth-quarter update on the most important used-car trends in Canada.
Wednesday morning women’s leadership breakfast
In addition to the Leadership Luncheon on Wednesday (Nov. 8) — which is sponsored by CarGurus and honors the 2023: Women in Retail, Women in Auto Finance, Women in Collections and Recoveries, and Women in Remarketing — there will also be a Women’s Executive Leadership Breakfast that morning, sponsored by CDK Global, VinCue and Stream Companies. The breakfast event is new to UCW this year.
After hours events
In addition to networking receptions, breakfasts and luncheons, Used Car Week will include two after hours receptions:
— Tuesday night (Nov. 7), sponsored by SYCN Auto Logistics
— Wednesday night (Nov. 8), sponsored by ACV
Plus, once all the action wraps up Thursday (Nov. 9), there will be a UCW Wrap Party, sponsored by Trulli Audio.
Deeper lineup on Used Car Week podcast stage
Cherokee Media Group’s podcast stage returns for its second Used Car Week and fourth event overall. Sponsored by SYCN Logistics, the event will not only include the team at the Auto Remarketing Podcast recording more than 25 episodes of our show, but nearly 20 podcasters from around the industry recording their respective shows.
