Central Dispatch launches new suite of market intelligence tools
Cox Automotive’s logistics brand is unveiling new market intelligence capabilities.
Central Dispatch said the new offerings, including an artificial intelligence-powered pricing tool, application programming interface for pricing insights, enterprise data file and market report, give dealers, transportation brokers and carriers “actionable insights” to “help move their businesses forward.”
The latest enhancements, Central Dispatch said, are a part of a multi-year project, fueled by an investment of more than $100 million from Cox Automotive.
“As we kick off the second year of Central Dispatch’s transformation, we’re turning our extensive data into unparalleled tools and insights for the auto logistics industry,” said Lainey Sibble, Cox Automotive’s head of Central Dispatch. “Our new market intelligence solutions give clients numerous ways to access the information they need to make more informed decisions, with the goals of maximizing their transportation speed and increasing their profitability.”
The new resources include:
Price Check Plus: The AI-driven pricing tool combines Cox Automotive’s AI with Central Dispatch’s first-party data, based on millions of real transactions, to predict the price at which a vehicle will likely move and give clients additional insights that can help them make more confident decisions, the company said.
Market intelligence API: The new API is designed to enable clients to integrate Central Dispatch’s pricing insights directly into their own systems for a seamless workflow.
Enterprise data file: Select enterprise clients can receive anonymized, aggregated market intelligence data directly on a monthly basis for their in-house data scientists to analyze.
Market intelligence report: A data-driven report that highlights key logistics trends and their real-world impacts. Central Dispatch said the report is currently focused on pricing and distance, with additional metrics being added during the first quarter.
Central Dispatch said the additions follow a year in which it facilitated more than 14 million vehicle moves, including more than 1.6 million in private marketplaces used by enterprise clients. The company’s carrier app, which was launched last August, has generated more than 2 million electronic bills of lading.
Coming up this year, in addition to the recently released Real Time Tracking feature, Central Dispatch is planning new API integrations, payment facilitation capabilities, self-dispatching functionality, enhanced Transactional Ratings, and an expanded mobile app experience.
“As the largest logistics marketplace, Central Dispatch has been a leader in moving the industry from fragmentation to integration,” Cox Automotive senior vice president of digital and supply chain Joe Kichler said. “We can’t wait to show what this next stage — optimization — looks like as we leverage the power of our data, technology and AI to give clients even more control over their supply chain and drive greater results for their businesses.”
