Dealers Discuss CPO Strategies During Latest POADA Webinar
CARY, N.C. — A discussion on how dealers can enhance the depth and sales performance of their certified pre-owned inventory brought together hundreds of dealership managers and sales personnel for Tuesday's free Webinar orchestrated by the Pre-Owned Automobile Dealers Alliance.
Participating dealers learned more about why "adds and deducts" are so important in valuation from Ricky Beggs, the vice president and managing editor of Black Book. Beggs was one of four expert presenters who shared valuable information and took questions from dealers as a part of the POADA's monthly series, Pre-Owned LIVE.
Jay Luna, the process improvement manager from Carfax, offered some recommendations about the key pieces of information that should be highlighted in the vehicle's history when listing a CPO unit online.
Meanwhile, David Colville, the national director of OEM accounts with APCO/EasyCare, shared the latest details about POADA's unique certified program that's now available in close to 40 states. Car-Mark Certified Pre-Owned provides dealers with an avenue of certifying their vehicles without the necessity of a manufacturer program.
Finally, Juan Flores, director of vehicle valuation at Kelley Blue Book, gave dealer participants some insight into how the company projects CPO values as well as how this particular market segment might behave going forward.
