Element announces changes at the top
There’s an element of change at the top of one of the world’s largest automotive fleet management companies.
Element Fleet Management announced two leadership transitions in its executive team, with chief operating officer and 20-plus-year company veteran Jim Halliday assuming the role of vice chair and Ian Oncea is moving up to replace Halliday as COO.
In a news release, the company said Halliday, who took over the COO position in 2018, has been “pivotal in steering the company toward success.” He’ll continue to report directly to CEO Laura Dottori-Attanasio.
“We are grateful to have Jim’s invaluable expertise and experience as we continue to grow our business and lead our industry for the future,” Dottori-Attanasio said. “Jim has been instrumental in driving our client-centric mindset, and in his role as vice chair he will help ensure our strategy is aligned with our purpose. Our emerging leaders will benefit from his mentorship.”
Halliday said his new position “provides me the opportunity to concentrate my efforts on accelerating our growth strategy and enhancing our relationships with clients and partners.”
Oncea, who joined Element in April, was promoted from his position of senior vice president of product strategy and continuous improvement, in which the company said he has “proven to be an invaluable asset, leading strategic initiatives across Element.” His background includes experience in operations and product strategies.
“Under Ian’s leadership, we will not only enhance our operational efficiency but also drive our strategic goals and continue to deliver exceptional value to our clients,” Dottori-Attanasio said. “His leadership and vision will undoubtedly drive Element forward.”
Oncea called the promotion an honor and said his focus will be on “fostering a client-centric mindset and ensuring that we not only meet but exceed client expectations through innovative solutions and strategic initiatives.”
