Honda Takes Measure to Increase Recall Awareness
TORRANCE, Calif. — Honda is aiming to give consumers greater access to information regarding open recalls on its vehicles by now sending this data to Carfax.
The company will pass along recall information each day to Carfax, which can help the automaker raise greater awareness of its safety recalls.
"Recall completion is critically important to us," stated Jim Roach, senior vice president of parts and service for Honda. "By working with Carfax, American Honda provides another way for customers to increase their awareness and need to address recall repairs."
Carfax Reports will include any open recall information on Honda and Acura vehicles that is reported to Carfax. These details can also be accessed by consumers at via www.carfax.com/recall.
"Carfax and American Honda are committed to keeping our roadways safe," said Larry Gamache, communications director at Carfax. "Adding Honda and Acura to the list of manufacturers providing open recall information to Carfax helps notify car owners and buyers and gets these cars into dealerships to be fixed."
