Vehicle transportation company MetroGistics recently named a new director of account management, hiring an executive with experience in getting a domestic automaker’s new models distributed regionally.

Taking on the role is Martha Garcia-Perry, who will be responsible for ensuring that MetroGistics’ customers consistently experience a high level of service, and for delivering on the company’s promise to make the entire vehicle shipping experience simple, easy and hassle-free.

The company explained Garcia-Perry will work with clients, the sales team and management to uncover business needs and objectives, craft appropriate strategies, and implement process improvements to help surpass client expectations.

Garcia-Perry brings more than 12 years of business management and logistics industry experience. After graduating from Wayne State University, she joined Insight Network Logistics of Auburn Hills, Mich., as a manager of vehicle shipments.

Garcia-Perry’s career progression in the company led to the position of senior manager, regional operations, where she proactively managed the day-to-day distribution of Chrysler’s finished vehicle delivery network throughout the Southeast.

MetroGistics also highlighted Garcia-Perry’s diverse experience and skill set includes transportation management, logistics and distribution, project management, Web and computer technologies, training and development, operations management, strategic planning, and process improvements.

Scott Naz, the company’s managing partner of business development, pointed out Garcia-Perry embraces challenges, process improvements and applying creative solutions to achieve desired business results.
