Ship.Cars is getting real.

The auto logistics technology provider announced the addition of a real-time tracking/status link feature designed to give end customers updates on their vehicle shipments from dispatch to delivery, with 24/7 access to shipment status and locations.

The company said the new feature, typically only available from last-mile delivery services in the retail sector, aims to solve disruptions caused by lack of visibility and miscommunication and bridge the gap between brokers, carriers and customers.

“Introducing our new visibility feature addresses the evolving needs of our auto logistics partners and their customers,” Ship.Cars president Eftim Eftimov said. “This functionality will set a higher standard in customer satisfaction and operational efficiency within the auto logistics industry.”

The feature will provide real-time status updates and access to all related inspection and delivery documentation, the company said, allowing car-shipping customer to monitor their orders and shippers to reduce customer inquiries, limit negative feedback and improve customer service.

Ship.Cars said its real-time tracking feature is accessible from any device and includes order documentation such as vehicle inspection documents as well as offering transparency while protecting sensitive information.

The company added there is more to come — it plans to integrate a generative AI chatbot into the tracking page to provide 24/7 customer support with the ability to answer a wide range of questions.

“Our commitment to innovation remains steadfast,” Eftimov said. “By leveraging advanced technologies, we can provide even greater transparency and efficiency to our shipping partners and valued carriers.”
