Consumer car research website zAutos.com late last week launched its Used Car Portal — designed to take consumers step-by-step through finding a used vehicle.

By providing information on hundreds of thousands of pre-owned vehicles, the application can allow users to research details on units for sale near them, including selling prices, images, locations, special features and dealer contact information. 

"The Used Car Portal application was designed to make it easy for consumers to shop for a pre-owned vehicle online," said David Vennes, founder of zAutos.

"Our objective was to build a streamlined interface that was simple and intuitive, and we believe we accomplished that.  The portal is quickly growing, and we expect to offer a selection of over one million vehicles,” he continued.

Delving more into how the new tool works, the research experience begins with clicking on the “Find a Used Car” tab, which then directs viewers to a vehicle selection page.

Then, a user picks out the make, model, year range and location of desired vehicle.

“The advanced portal delivers critical vehicle information such as the price, mileage, standard and optional features, exterior and interior colors and a map of the seller’s location,” officials noted.

Also,  photos of the vehicle’s interior and exterior are provided as well.

Lastly, the application gives users who have selected a vehicle the option of requesting a Carfax Vehicle History Report and/or contacting the seller by phone or by filling out and submitting a short form.

zAutos.com also offers over 4,000 informative car videos, 10,000 vehicle ebrochures and dealer quotes. Site users can customize their own vehicle with the also new Build Car application. The site also provides current auto news and car reviews.
