CARMEL, Ind. — ADESA revealed late last week that it's promoted the general manager of ADESA San Diego to a role at its corporate headquarters.

Chad Ruffin now will serve as executive director of sales for the national sales team, effective immediately. ADESA indicated Ruffin will report directly to Jeff Bescher, senior vice president of sales.

Before serving as general manager of ADESA San Diego, Ruffin spent four years as assistant general manager at ADESA Los Angeles.

Prior to joining ADESA, Ruffin held various positions at Manheim for six years, including Ford account manager and reconditioning manager. The company noted Ruffin also is experienced in the banking side of the industry, working in remarketing at Arcadia Financial, CitiFinancial and HSBC Auto Finance.

"Chad has extensive auction experience and great client relationship skills," Bescher pointed out.

"He's great at motivating others — and customers know they can rely on him," Bescher continued. "During his years in the automotive remarketing industry, as well as working with various auction chains, many people in the industry already know and respect him."

ADESA Cincinnati-Dayton, GE Remarketing to Raise Money for United Way

ADESA Cincinnati-Dayton and GE Remarketing are joining forces on a promotion to generate funds for United Way. In what's being dubbed as "Race to Give," the two entities are selling raffle tickets for a go-kart giveaway.

This GE Remarketing promotion also supports General Electric's corporate charitable giving campaign "Make Your Money Matter with GE and United Way."

Officials explained the go-kart design resembles an Indianapolis 500 racecar. It's white with custom graphics and is constructed with an extended-size with a six horsepower engine that has an electric start. The drive is live axle with a torque converter and it has disc brakes.

For a chance to win the go-kart, dealers can purchase raffle tickets during the Sept. 28 GE Remarketing sale and fundraising event. This sale that beings at 10:30 a.m. EST is set to feature more than 100 units, featuring popular models such as Chevrolet Impala, Chevrolet Malibu, Pontiac Grand Prix, Saturn Vue, GMC Yukon and more.

Furthermore, money for the United Way will also be raised that day by selling tickets to play Nintendo Wii for prizes.

And in addition, ADESA Cincinnati-Dayton will be providing free lunch to dealers, handing out ADESA hats, water bottles, shirts and free post-sale inspection certificates, as well as coupons for $25 off the buy fee and gift cards worth up to $50.

"This is a great cause, and we're pleased to be working with GE Remarketing to raise money for such an important organization," stated ADESA Cincinnati-Dayton General Manager Geoff Parker. "The United Way helps so many people."
