LOS ANGELES -

Quickride is a shuttle and concierge software that is meant to reduce how much time customers spend waiting at the dealership.

Quickride Logistics produced the software, and two service directors founded the company. On Tuesday, the company said the software is now free for all U.S. and Canadian car dealerships to try.

In about 15 minutes, dealers can create their own accounts, take digital training, and implement the Quickride platform. A 30-day free trial is available for dealers without the need to set up any payment methods.

Mark Toohey, service director at 3-Way Chevrolet, is a co-founder of Quickride who said his dealership does not have time to set up complicated software.

“Now, service advisers can spend their time working with customers,” Toohey said in a news release.

Toohey also said, “It lets us fix their cars right the first time instead of just trying to get them home from the lounge. It takes an outdated process up-to-date in a matter of minutes.”

Another Quickride co-founder is Rob Atkison, also with 3-Way Chevrolet. Atkison, a service manager at the dealership, said Quickride Logistics built the software to eliminate frustrations.

“But we quickly learned that our experiences as service directors who perfected these processes in our dealership can help others in our position do the same thing,” Atkison said. “Now that the technology has matured, it’s crucial to take the next step to reduce the starting time as much as possible.”

Dealers during the 30-day free trial will be able to use most features of the platforms and work with Quickride customer service. Post trial, they can create a customized, monthly plan.

“Service managers do not necessarily have the time to go through a comprehensive setup and training process but still want to fix the frustrations of managing shuttle and vehicle valet services,” said Quickride director of operations, Fernando Uribe. “By making it easier to get started, we’re helping dealerships fix a complicated process while freeing up their service advisers, empowering drivers, and satisfying their customers.”

The company said Quickride serves automotive groups such as AutoNation, Checkered Flag, Bergstrom Automotive, and Fletcher Jones.
