Online Auto Marketplace Partners with Carfax to Enhance Listings
Lemonfree.com and Carfax announced Monday that visitors to the online marketplace will now be able to view Carfax Vehicle History Reports run by dealers directly from vehicle listings starting Aug. 1.
The site also noted that a logo and text indicator will let shoppers know if a Carfax Report is available for specific vehicles.
“One of the key priorities of Lemonfree.com is to assemble quality signals behind each dealer, and ultimately each vehicle, and reflect that information to the consumer in a meaningful way," said Lance Schafer, president of Lemonfree.com.
“A dealer who is willing to supply a Carfax Report for their entire inventory creates a significant and meaningful quality signal for us,” he added.
The site will also distinguish Carfax 1-Owner cars listed by subscribing dealers.
“Online shoppers can review the Carfax Report for free with a single mouse click, which helps dealers sell cars faster,” company officials stressed.
Carfax communications director Larry Gamache also offered his opinion on the new partnership: “Linking to a Carfax Vehicle History Report is one of the most effective ways dealers market their inventory online.”
“This enhancement to dealer listings on Lemonfree.com is a big competitive advantage that will drive more potential buyers to dealers that use Carfax,” he continued.
Lemonfree.com lists used cars annually from sellers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
