Manheim Names COO
Manheim revealed its executive vice president and chief operating officer last week, and stepping into the role early next month is Janet Barnard, who has been with Cox for more two decades.
Barnard’s most recent post was as senior vice president and general manger of the Cox Communications central region. In her new position with Manheim,
Barnard will head up operations, sales and IT. She will report to Manheim president Sandy Schwartz.
“Janet is a proven leader with a remarkable track record of achieving both financial and operational results,” Schwartz stated. “Throughout her career with Cox Communications, she has been instrumental in developing strong leaders, building results-oriented teams, and most importantly, serving as a catalyst for innovative, creative customer and workplace strategies.
“We are fortunate that she has decided to bring her talents, work ethic and enthusiasm to Manheim, as we strive to be the used-vehicle market,” he added.
Sharing more about Barnard’s experience, she joined Cox Communications in 1988 and served in several finance and business operations leadership roles. This included serving as regional vice president of Omaha and Middle America Cox, and holding that same position in northern Virginia.
