CENTREVILLE, Va. -

Carfax announced the five winners late last week of its Carfax Chalenge, a trivia contest which tested dealers’ knowledge of the company and the auto industry.

The challenge was held during this year’s National Automobile Dealers Association & American Truck Dealers Convention and Expo.

The overall winner and recipient of the $2,012 prize is Jamie Kornely, of First Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Manitowoc, Wis., officials announced.

Also, Carfax Advantage Dealers competing in the Carfax Challenge were eligible to win an 8’ inflatable Car Fox on each day of the convention.

The winners of this prize are: Joel Osserman, of Select Eurocars in Waterloo, N.Y.; Shane Lanigan with Toyota of Boardman (Ohio); and Greg Bruner, of Bruner Motors GM Chrysler in Stephensville, Texas.

And the challenge had a social media aspect to it, as well.

Dealers also participated in the Carfax Challenge through the Carfax for Dealers Facebook page, the company noted.

Eric Nelson, of Nelson Automotive in Mount Prospect, Ill., won an 8’ inflatable Car Fox as the top-scoring Carfax Advantage Dealer.

And response to the contest was significant, with nearly 500 dealers from the U.S. and Canada taking the Carfax Challenge.

Moreover, the company shared that Carfax for Dealers Facebook "likes" increased by 550 percent.
