ServNet Auctions Launch Summer Promotions
The ServNet Auction Group recently kicked off its lineup of summer promotions with the Smoker Sale at Brasher’s Idaho Auto Auction and plans to keep things rolling with a trio of music-themed event.
Next month, DAA Northwest — located in Spokane, Wash. — hosts its annual Rock and Roll Sale, which will feature British-American rock band Foreigner. Since the first of these events debuted in 1995, the event has featured such acts as the Doobie Brothers, Huey Lewis & The News, Pat Benatar and Styx.
The event is scheduled for July 18, and opening up for Foreigner will be The Cronkites, which features DAA’s Greg Mahugh and Pat Simmons.
The celebration follows the auction’s fleet/lease sale that morning. Then on July 19, there will be more than 3,000 cars, trucks and motorsport units available to dealers. During the sale, dealers’ significant others will taken on a catered cruise on Lake Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
The following week, Brasher’s Portland Auto Auction is hosting its Barefoot in Bluegrass Sale. The July 26 event will include a 1,500-plus-unit sale, prize drawings and the chance for customers to play their own music.
The facility is currently accepting reservations for a post-sale buffet dinner in the lobby of the Portland, Ore., auction.
Following the dinner, there will be a country concert at McMenamins Edgefield Amphitheater for headlined by Emmylou Harris and her Red Dirt Boys, and Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers.
“Summer is the perfect time to head outside, kick off your shoes and enjoy some great country music," stated Jerry Hinton, general manager at the Portland auction. “It’s going to be a fun evening of entertainment with our customers, following a great day of buying and selling at the auction.”
Moving along to August, ServNet’s KCI Auto Auction will host its Guitars and Cars Sale, which will feature country star Tracy Lawrence.
The Kansas City, Mo., auction’s event will include a mid-morning sale on Aug. 22, which will include lease consignment and late-model area dealer consignment. The private party and concert will be held that night . The following day will feature the Guitars and Cars Main Event Sale, which will include more than 1,000 units. Dealers’ significant others can take in a shopping and lunch trip to Zona Rosa, a Kansas City outside shopping district.
The event also includes post-sale prize giveaways.
“Our customers really look forward to this event because it has become our largest sale of the year," stated Doug Doll, co-owner of KCI Auto Auction. “It takes a lot of preparation from our staff but it pays off when our customers tell us how much fun they had.”
ServNet chief executive officer Pierre Pons added: “ServNet auctions out-perform the competition on any number of levels all year long. Paired with outstanding auction service are marketing efforts such as these that top the charts in innovation and sales effectiveness.
“ServNet auctions continue to excel in the business of remarketing vehicles, surpassing expectations with every passing year, and continuing to offer the industry’s best opportunities for buying and selling at auction,” he continued.
