MONCKS CORNER, S.C. -

In a recent promotion that lent a hand to a cause helping seriously ill children and their families, Charleston Auto Auction and its dealers  generated more than $5,000 for the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston, S.C.

As part of the promotion — which was titled “Wear A Shirt, Provide a Place to Stay” — representatives from the charitable organization gave away t-shirts at the auction for anyone making a donation. Additionally, the auction held a 50/50 drawing for three straight weeks to raise funds.

Charleston AA also matched all contributions that were generated, bringing the total donation past $5,000.

“The Ronald McDonald House is a great organization,” said Laura Taylor, the auction’s general manager. “All our dealers always open their hearts and wallets to help!”
