MARKHAM, Ontario -

As the holidays wrap up and dealers and industry experts alike turn to face the new year, 2013 kicks off with the inaugural Canadian Automobile Dealers Association’s annual summit.

The 2013 summit offers a variety of industry-leading speakers and panelists and is scheduled for Feb. 13 at the Hilton Toronto.

“Join us for an in-depth exploration of the issues facing new car and truck dealers. Find out what it will take to survive and thrive on the road ahead,” CADA officials note on the event’s website.

The event, sponsored by TD Auto Finance, will feature  speakers such as Bob Lutz, former General Motors vice chairman; Steve Rattner, former U.S. Treasury auto industry adviser; and Ramesh Swamy, Deloitte’s retail sector leader.

The lineup includes speaker events such as a retail panel, which will debate the current state of the automotive industry and where it is heading, and a session featuring president and chief executive officer of Electric Mobility Canada Chris Hill in which he will touch on the growing electric car market.
