MISSISSAUGA, Ontario -

According to June’s TradeTracker Used Vehicle Market Report, the Ford F150 is back on top as the No. 1 most appraised vehicle in Canada during June, after being ousted from the spot in May when the Mazda 3 topped the charts.

These reports are provided monthly to Auto Remarketing Canada and are a result of Dealertrack’s Trade Tracker solution, which is an online, trade-in evaluation tool that allows dealerships to create instant, accurate appraisals and gain insight into their used-car business.

The F-150 was followed by the Toyota Corolla and Mazda 3, respectively, as the second- and third-most-appraised vehicles for June. The Honda Civic sedan and the Dodge Grand Caravan rounded out the Top 5.

Year-to-date as of the end of June, the F-150 tops the list, as well, with the Civic sedan and Corolla in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively.

For vehicles that were shown the most interest by trade-in owners, the F150 came in as the top domestic vehicle looked at by both owners who already drive a domestic vehicle and those who drive an import vehicle.

For import owners, the Toyota Rav 4 was shown the most interest in June.

Lastly, the top import vehicle looked at by domestic owners was the Hyundai Elantra.

The TradeTracker reports also include a Brand of the Month section, which highlights trade-in trends by an individual brand.

The brand highlighted in June was Chevrolet. For dealers selling these units, the top three in-brand vehicles looked at the most by trade-in customers were the Chevy Cruze, Equinox and Trax.

For off-brand vehicles, the top three appraised by General Motors-Chevrolet dealers were the Mazda 3, Civic sedan and the Corolla, mirroring the results of overall appraised vehicles last month.
