McLEAN, Va. -

Although the increases were rather tame, domestic brands were at the top of the heap for used-car consumer activity growth on the Web in December, according to the latest Guidelines report from NADA Used Car Guide.

Specifically, the report looks at activity on NADAguides.com and calculates the year-over-year change in unique lookups during December.

Topping the list for the most growth from December 2012 was GMC, whose consumer activity on NADAguides.com was up 5 percent. Slightly behind but nearly at 5 percent was Kia, followed by Subaru (up 4 percent), Jeep (up 2 percent) and Saturn (up 1 percent).

Seven brands were found to have either grown or decreased by less than 1 percent. The overwhelming majority of brands showed decreases in used-car activity last month.

The report also recapped the top 10 most-researched used models for December. Those were:

1. Ford F-150
2. Chevrolet Silverado 1500
3. Dodge Ram 1500
4. Honda Accord Sedan
