SPECIAL PREVIEW: ‘Best CPO Dealers’ sales rankings yield interesting stats
CARY, N.C. -
In Auto Remarketing’s upcoming “Best CPO Dealers in the USA” issue, some interesting statistical nuggets emerge when looking at various automakers’ respective certified pre-owned sales leaders.
This feature goes beyond the sales rankings to share some of those stats.
We start with Infiniti.
- Among Infiniti’s top 10 dealers for 2020 certified pre-owned sales, four dealerships’ CPO sales as a percentage of new-vehicle were above 100%, according to sales data provided by the automaker. The largest of that bunch was at its Roswell store, which whose CPO-to-new percentage was at 248%. Infiniti’s Gwinnett dealership was next at 185% followed its Austin dealership (169%) and Nashua store (159%), respectively.
- Another nugget was at Ford. Its No. 6 and No. 7 stores for 2020 CPO sales (Lithia Ford of Boise and Corwin Ford, respectively) are less than 15 miles apart, according to a quick search of Google Maps. But they are even closer on the sales chart: Lithia Ford of Boise pulled in 1,009 CPO sales in 2020, with Corwin Ford selling 1,008, according to sales data from Ford. Idaho is the “Gem State,” and these two stores certainly are CPO gems for the Blue Oval.
- The name “Stellantis” is relatively new to the auto industry, but its leading CPO dealer should be a familiar one. Bill Luke Chrysler Jeep & Dodge, a perennial top certified seller for the Auburn Hills branch of the Big 3 and Auto Remarketing’s 2015 CPO Dealer of the Year, had nearly twice as many certified sales last year (2,934) as the next closest dealer on the automaker’s list. Bill Luke has also been the automaker’s top CPO seller for eight consecutive years.
This is just a sampling of the CPO data you will find in the April issue of Auto Remarketing, which will include CPO sales rankings for a host of automakers, along with a certified sales update and more. Stay tuned to our enewsletters and eblasts for more.
