DEARBORN, Mich. — To help its dealers enhance the customer experience, the Lincoln brand has rolled out a new offer where it is giving consumers who buy or lease a 2010 or 2011 model in its lineup this summer free schedule maintenance, which includes oil changes, tire rotations, vehicle inspections, engines belts and hoses for three years or 45,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Also covered in the deal are wear items like brake pads and wiper blades, items that aren't usually included on a vehicle's warranty. Officials did note that there may be some restrictions in New York regarding the wiper blades.

"Our commitment is to further grow the Lincoln brand and offer our luxury customers the premium experience they deserve and expect," stated Ken Czubay, Ford's vice president of U.S. marketing, sales and service. "Our free scheduled maintenance offer marks only the first step in our plans to further upgrade the Lincoln experience."

Upcoming Launches

In other news from the company, Lincoln said there will be seven all-new or "significantly refreshed" models rolled out over the next four years. These launches will be under the brand's growth plan that hones in on what it calls "standout product design, class-leading technology and new powertrains." These facets are all part of Lincoln's goal to compete in North America with Cadillac and Lexus.

"Lincoln will be led by expanded product development and marketing, sales and service teams to support the brand's growth plan and ensure it has a strong cadence of distinct products that are well positioned in the market," officials noted.

The brand said its plans are to:

—Launch its first-ever C-segment vehicle.

—Roll out new powertrains that are exclusive to Lincoln, including an all-new V-6 engine along with advanced fuel-efficient transmissions.

—Make all Lincolns have EcoBoost engines available.

—Offer "fuel economy leadership" with all units in its lineup.

—Implement more efficient useful technology and features than its competition. Comfort and convenience will be a main focus.

Fully retractable glass roofs; adaptive computer-controlled suspensions; electronic, push-button gear-selectors; active noise control; and exclusive MyLincoln Touch driver connect technology are among the advanced features on the docket.

"Lincoln's hallmarks will be refined, modern design, the most fuel-efficient premium powertrains and industry-leading technology that create a unique driver experience both in the cabin and on the road," officials noted.
