Montway increases its commitment to fight hunger
Montway Auto Transport is stepping up its commitment to fighting hunger.
The third-party logistics brokerage has increased its involvement with Move For Hunger, providing 120,000 meals to communities in need in 2024. Montway said it has provided nearly 700,000 meals through various support and food drives since it began working with the organization.
“Partnering with Move for Hunger aligns with our core values of compassion, integrity and community engagement,” Montway director of moving and relocation, auto transport Lubo Lazaro said in a news release. “Through this collaboration, we aim to turn each move into an opportunity to help those in need, ensuring that surplus food reaches families facing hunger.
“Montway believes everyone has a role to play in building stronger, healthier communities and encourages our customers, partners and employees to join us in supporting Move for Hunger’s critical mission.”
Throughout June, Montway Auto Transport collaborated with Move For Hunger and other sponsors on the fourth annual Move 2 Fight Hunger Challenge, which brought more than 600 participants together in a monthlong challenge that provided more than 144,500 meals.
Move For Hunger was founded in 2009 by Adam Lowy and has support from more than 1,200 moving companies, including many of the world’s leading relocation management companies, and more than 3,000 multi-family apartment communities.
Move For Hunger has provided more 45 million pounds of food – equal to more than 38 million meals – in the U.S. and Canada.
In addition to its support of Move For Hunger, Montway is sponsoring a Mover of the Month series, which highlights a moving company that has gone above and beyond in the fight against hunger, providing visibility and encouraging others in the industry to join the cause.
