3 Brands Show Gains in Used-Car Consumer Activity
During May, an overwhelming majority of brands saw a decrease in the amount of activity they were generating among online used-car consumers.
However, some brands bucked this trend.
According to data provided in the latest Guidelines report from NADA Used Car Guide, Buick (up 3 percent), Mercedes-Benz (up 3 percent) and Lexus (2 percent) were the only brands to see year-over-year increases in pre-owned shopper activity on NADAguides.com last month.
Activity for GMC was static compared to May 2012, and the remaining 32 brands in the data set saw their used activity decline.
As far as individual models, the most-researched used vehicles on NADAguides.com during May were the following, according to the report:
1. Ford F-150
2. Chevrolet Silverado 1500
3. Chevrolet Impala
4. Honda Accord sedan
5. Nissan Altima
6. Toyota Camry
7. Dodge Ram 1500
8. Ford Mustang
9. BMW 3 Series
10. Toyota Corolla
11. Ford Fusion
12. Chevrolet Cobalt
13. Pontiac G6
14. Chevrolet Malibu
15. Jeep Wrangler
