McLEAN, Va. -

The brands that saw the biggest surges in consumer interest this past month ranged the gamut from luxury to rugged, domestic and import.

Topping the list for the biggest increase in consumer activity in June for used models is Buick, which notched a 7-percent year-over-year increase, according to NADAguides.com data provided in the latest Guidelines report from NADA Used Car Guide.

The luxury European brand Audi followed right behind with a 6-percent increase. It was followed by a couple of more luxury counterparts, Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar, which notched 5-percent and 3-percent increases from June 2012, respectively.

Rounding out the top five is GMC, with a 3-percent increase, as well.

Meanwhile, four brands saw double-digit decreases in consumer activity in June when compared to the same period of 2012.

Coming in with the biggest fall this past month was Hummer, which experienced a 17-percent year-over-year decline in consumer activity.

Subaru also saw a significant decline, falling by 13 percent in June.

Scion and Suzuki were the only two other automakers to see double-digit declines, falling by 11 percent and 10 percent, respectively.
