ATLANTA -

Though luxury vehicles continue to be scarce, a few certified pre-owned vehicles, in particular, are proving hard to find this summer, as well.

According to the latest installment of vehicle scarcity date that is provided monthly to Auto Remarketing by AutoTrader.com, certified models, such as the Hyundai Genesis and a few other trucks and SUVs, popped up among the various designated market areas' respective scarcity lists in June.

The Genesis is proving particularly elusive. The model was difficult to find in the following DMAs, making huge jumps up the scarcity lists in cities all over the country:

—  No. 1 in San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose. This was a leap of eight spots from its position in May.

—  No. 10 in Dallas/Ft. Worth. It was not on the list in that DMA in May.

—  No. 10 in Chicago. While this was down four spots from May, it is still one of the 10 most scarce vehicles in that DMA.

— No. 8 in Houston. It was not on the list in that DMA in May.

— No. 9 in Philadelphia. It was not on the list in that DMA in May.

A variety of CPO SUVs and trucks made it onto the scarcity lists this past month, as well, AutoTrader.com reported.

For example, the CPO Toyota Sequoia appeared at No. 5 in Atlanta, and the CPO Toyota Sequoia came in at No. 7 in Los Angeles, not having been on these lists at all in May.

Another SUV to pop up was the Volkswagen Touareg, which came in at No. 9 in Dallas/Ft. Worth and No.7 in San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose, also not having been on these lists in May.

As for trucks, the CPO Toyota Tacoma came in at No. 7 in Chicago, and the CPO Dodge Dakota landed at No. 4 in Washington, D.C., both breaking onto the lists in June.
