ATLANTA -

Manheim announced Monday that one of its top executives recently made the “Atlanta’s Top 100 Black Women of Influence” list. Receiving the recognition from the Atlanta Business League was Lilicia Bailey, the company’s senior vice president and global chief people officer.

ABL gave the award to Bailey at its recent 16th annual Women of Vision Breakfast in Atlanta.

Explaining Atlanta’s 100 Black Women of Influence list in more detail, officials noted that it spotlights area black women who have:

—Reached senior level positions within their profession.
—Been leading entrepreneurs in their industry.
—Been able to influence large public bodies politically and in government.

Moreover, honorees have remained involved in community and civic activities.

“Being named to this list is both inspiring and humbling, especially when I think of the many talented leaders represented,” Bailey shared.

“I’m truly honored to be recognized and am thankful to Manheim for giving me an opportunity to make meaningful differences at work and in the community, as well as share my experiences with others,” she added.

Sharing more about Bailey’s experience, officials pointed out that she heads up Manheim’s global human capital strategy and serves on the company’s executive board.

She oversees:

—Employee Shared Service Centers and HR business partners.
—Organizational effectiveness.
—Change leadership.
—Executive development and training.
—Talent management.
—Global employee engagement.
 

Bailey also serves as chairperson of the Manheim’s Learning Review Board and Compensation Committee. She has been with Manheim since 2004 and worked as the director of organizational development at parent company Cox Enterprises before coming aboard at Manheim.

Prior to her time with Cox, Bailey headed up large-scale change initiatives for Home Depot, where she spent 17 years.

Looking at her professional involvement, Bailey is member of the Human Resources Planning Society as well as the International Society for Human Resource Management. Moreover, she is an active member of Leadership Atlanta.

Bailey is also a board of directors member for Communities in Schools of Georgia and serves on the on the HR Council for the Girl Scouts of Atlanta, as well.

Officials noted that four other Cox employees also made the list:

—Twanda Black, public affairs director/host of Cox Radio – KISS 104.1 FM
—Jocelyn Dorsey, public affairs manager of WSB-TV
—Sharmen Gowens, former community engagement manager of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution
—Jovita Moore, news anchor and reporter for WSB-TV.
