Paul Potratz defined process as the series of steps or actions to achieve an end. And what’s the process at most dealerships? Turning vehicles fast for as much gross profit as possible.

In order to refine the process to get those results, the chief operating officer and founder of Potratz Partners Advertising shared advice in an online video titled, “13 Steps to Happiness and Prosperity.” It was a part of his ongoing series, “Think Tank Tuesday.”

“I’m talking about process. What’s the process at your dealership? Think about it, companies that are highly successful they have one common trait,” Potratz said. “They have a process that they follow.”

Potratz emphasized that process often is associated with four other common business terms: progress, way, action and method.

“Think about all those words and what they mean to your company in connection with the process,” Potratz said.
