IRVINE, Calif. -

In addition to having one of its models make the list of most-popular used vehicles, Subaru made some waves on the new-car side in February, according to Kelley Blue Book, which said this likely indicates some traction with its latest advertising campaign.

Three Subaru models were among the 25 most-researched new vehicles on KBB.com last month, including the Subaru Forester in the No. 3 spot.

“Subaru’s national ad campaign is making headway with new-car shoppers as three of its vehicles make it into the Top 25 Most Researched list on KBB.com,” said Arthur Henry, senior manager for Kelley Blue Book Market Intelligence.

“Currently, Subaru ranks first on safety perceptions among KBB.com visitors. Traditionally Subaru is a market leader in the Northeast and the polar vortex has amplified the automaker’s penetration, expanding the brand’s consideration to the Midwest and Eastern states,” he continued.

Overall, the most-researched new vehicle on KBB.com last month was the Honda CR-V, followed by the Honda Accord and Forester, respectively.

For used cars, the Honda Civic earned the No.1 spot, with the Honda Accord in second and the Toyota Camry in third.
