Day two of the National Auto Auction Association/CAR event will feature two keynote speakers, including Ed Curry, of Asbury Automotive Group, and Tammy Darvish, of DARCARS.
In addition to these speeches, there are several workshops set for today, as well as an NAAA Finance Budget Meeting.
After breakfast and a NAAA Convention Committee Meeting, Curry, of Asbury Automotive Group, will take to the stage to explain what consignors can do to enhance the value of their vehicles to dealers in the lanes and online.
Then at 9:30 a.m., NAAA will host a finance budget meeting.
The general session gets underway at 9:50 a.m. and will feature panelists discussing the 2012 Economic Forecast and Its Impact on Remarketers.
Taking center stage at 11:15 a.m., officials will be honoring industry leaders, naming the Consignor of the Year and Remarketer of the Year, as well as the NAAA Warren Young Fellowship Award winner.
After the ceremony wraps up, the general session will pick back up with speakers discussing, “What’s Important to Senior Management at Credit Unions When Remarketing Vehicles?”
At noon, dealer Tammy Darvish, of DARCARS, will talk about her new book called “Outraged.” The book focuses on the impact General Motors’ and Chrysler’s bankruptcies had on dealers.
Then after lunch at 12:30 p.m., the sessions return with “Industry Leaders: Who Are You?” This workshop is designed to allow attendees to hear personal stories from panelists.
An NAAA Membership Committee Meeting will be held at 3 p.m., followed by a presentation of factory consignors discussing the latest remarketing strategies.
The day will conclude with a special Consignor Awards Ceremony after several concurrent workshops.
