TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -

Auto Data Direct now offers real-time access to 25 state databases for qualified companies such as lenders and repossession agents thanks to the addition of vehicle records from Wisconsin.

Currently, ADD offers real-time access data in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin.

Whether for a repo operator needing registrant and lienholder information to notify an owner, a dealer confirming ownership for a trade-in or an insurer processing a claim, ADD contends its Web-based system can provide a single platform for access to more real-time records than any other company of its kind.

Officials highlighted that companies who need access to accurate, real-time motor vehicle records to complete business transactions can use ADD’s secure system to pull individual records when they need them, 24 hours a day. They indicated records are made available through a secure Internet connection, based on a company’s qualifications under the Federal Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA).

Real-time motor vehicle records include the owner’s name and address, lienholder name and address, registrant and registration information and vehicle data such as make, model, year, tag and title number.

ADD mentioned there are no monthly or annual fees, and customers access and pay for individual records as needed.

In addition to state data, ADD can provide a national title pointer to assist in finding the state of jurisdiction when individual records are not immediately available.

“ADD’s core business is to provide real-time motor vehicle inquiry solutions to DPPA qualified companies,” ADD president Jim Taylor explained.

“Our customers value a single point of access for records so that the process of finalizing transactions is easy, accurate, and can be completed from their desktop without extra steps to retrieve data from other sources,” Taylor continued. “We’re pleased to offer real-time access to 25 state jurisdictions and look forward to adding several more this year.”
