ATLANTA -

Jim Ellis Chevrolet announced Monday that it is in some elite company. The dealership said it is among the Southeast’s four Chevrolet stores to be honored with General Motors’ Mark of Excellence for 2009.

Officials said that just the top 7 percent of the 3,000 Chevrolet dealers in the U.S. earn this distinction, which lauds dealers for surpassing sales goals, maintaining strong customer-reported satisfaction scores and going through GM’s technical training.

With the latest triumph, Jim Ellis Chevrolet, which is located in Atlanta, has now earned this award three times, the dealership noted.

“Jim Ellis Chevrolet is clearly one of the best of the best and we’re proud to have them on the Chevy team in the Southeast,” shared Glenn Mohr, who is GM’s Chevrolet zone manager in the Southeast.

Jimmy Ellis, the vice president and chief operating officer for the Jim Ellis Automotive Group, offered his thoughts, noting: “Jim Ellis Chevrolet continues to excel in the Jim Ellis ‘expect the best’ philosophy and the trophy is a testament to achieving that goal.”

Mark Frost, the store’s general manager, chimed in: “I’m very proud of my team. Their hard work and dedication to an outstanding customer experience are what set Jim Ellis apart from the competition.”
