SAN JOSE, Calif. -

To determine what vehicle buffs believe is the best muscle car, intake manifold and more, eBay Motors rolled out its second annual People’s Picks campaign.

Now running through Sept. 30, eBay Motors explained People’s Picks gives car lovers the chance to vote on the best vehicles, parts and accessories with an international audience. Voters are entered to win a trip to the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas and $10,000 cash just by participating.

Categories up for debate include the best American muscle cars, motorsports, import tuner, super cars, trucks, four-wheeler/off-road, classic European, motorcycles, cars in culture, and modern foreign and domestic.

The site highlighted that brands in the running for People’s Picks can integrate the survey into their Facebook pages and websites to inspire their respective loyal fan bases.

An element that’s new this year is participants can vote via the eBay Motors iPhone app. By doing so, participants instantly enter to win one of the two iPad 2 tablets eBay Motors is giving away each week during the campaign.

An extension of the eBay Motors online experience, officials reiterated the iPhone app also includes the My Garage feature, allowing consumers to customize parts searches for specific vehicles, share project and dream cars, as well as chart and share modifications on their own vehicles.

Officials highlighted that more than 90,000 parts and 2,000 vehicles are purchased globally via eBay Mobile apps.

Votes in People’s Picks 2011 will be taken until Sept. 30, and winners of the survey will be announced at the SEMA Show in November.

A winner from last year’s campaign described the jubilation of being selected.

“It was truly an honor to be so highly thought of by auto enthusiasts on an international level,” stated Christi Edelbrock, vice president of business development at Edelbrock LCC, which won “Favorite Muscle Car Bolt On Brand” and “Favorite Intake Manifold” in last year’s competition.

“We pride ourselves on the quality and performance of our products, and as such, look forward to defending our titles against some very formidable competition this year,” Edelbrock added.

Famous Rhodes, senior director of eBay Motors, insisted, “The People’s Picks survey takes the age-old questions auto enthusiasts debate every day in their driveways and garage down the street to an international audience, which will hopefully help settle a few scores.

“With eBay Motors already bringing millions of enthusiasts together each month, People’s Picks is a great way to drive additional conversations and uncover insights from the community of everyday auto experts and car fanatics,” Rhodes went on to say.
