eBay Motors Shares E-Commerce Tips with NIADA Dealers
During Wednesday’s action at the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association Convention and Expo in Las Vegas, eBay Motors manager of dealer training Clayton Stanfield was on hand during the Internet and Social Media Solutions Lab session to lend his expertise about a new program designed to help independents best utilize eBay motors.
The lab session featured several other industry experts in addition to Stanfield, as well.
Specifically, Stanfield talked with dealers about eBay Motors’ eDealer program for independent dealers, similar to the program it has been offering for franchised dealers since 2009. Starting in August, eBay Motors will be running independent eDealer training sessions over the course of about three months with stops all throughout the country.
The half-day classes — which officials say can be useful for beginners or experienced eBay dealers — can help independents “elevate their presence on eBay Motors” and learn how to maximize the e-commerce channel. As part of the class, Stanfield shares some of the tricks and strategies for doing so.
The class schedule is as follows:
Aug. 18: Philadelphia
Aug. 25: Denver
Sept. 8: Dallas
Sept. 13: Minneapolis
Sept. 14: Raleigh, N.C.
Oct. 19: Orlando, Fla.
Oct. 19: Nashville, Tenn.
Nov. 17: Los Angeles
Also during the session at NIADA, Stanfield delved into the new NIADA certified pre-owned listings on eBay Motors. NIADA revealed earlier this year that eBay Motors was including all of NIADA CPO vehicles on the site.
"Our new program with eBay Motors is key to the continued success of the NIADA Certified program,” NIADA chief executive officer Mike Linn said at the time.
“Our dealers’ certified inventory will receive tremendous visibility on the eBay Motors platform. As consumers are searching for certified vehicles, the NIADA brand awareness increases with the additional exposure,” he added.
