DALLAS -

The GM eSummit 2012 Digital Marketing Conference is about to get rolling with its first round of one-day events which aim to bring together some of the automotive marketing industry’s top executives.

Officials contend attendees can learn successful approaches to using digital and social media to connect with potential and current customers.

First, the conference will kick off in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas this Thursday at The Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel.

“Dealers in each city will be able to attend a general session keynoted by some of the industry’s most successful executives, followed by 12 hands-on workshops covering a variety of topics that will enable attendees to gain deeper, more specialized skill-sets in specific areas,” officials explained.

In full, the tour will span five cities, “with the goal of bringing together key automotive marketing and sales executives with all dealership sales and service team members as well as dealer executives to discuss the latest techniques in utilizing digital and social technologies to connect with customers and drive sales.”

Speakers include industry veterans such as David Kain, president of Kain Automotive; Glenn Hardy, senior training consultant, GM Dealer Digital Support; and Tori Morandi, industry education, AutoTrader.com, to name a few.

The tour will continue with a stop in Chicago on Aug. 28, as well as Philadelphia, Orlando and Las Vegas throughout the fall.
