HALIFAX, Nova Scotia -

The Nova Scotia Automobile Dealers Association recently brought TD Auto Finance in as a Select Supplier for the dealer group, signing TDAF to a three-year agreement.

Under the deal, TDAF will help NSADA offer value-added programs and services to its dealers, while also funding training/education programs that will be offered to dealers and members of the general public in the Nova Scotia who want to learn more about the car business. As most likely know, TDAF is the car financing unit of TD Bank Group.

Additionally, the deal includes a partnership between TDAF, NSADA and Canadian Auto Dealer to host the Canadian Dealer Excellence conference next month.

The program is set for April 13 and precedes the NSADA president’s dinner in Halifax. Among the CADEX sessions are programs on digital sales, dealership best practices and F&I strategy.

“We are excited to be partnering with TDAF through this exclusive supplier agreement,” said Michael Velemirovich, president of NSADA and Hillcrest Volkswagen. “We’re confident that TDAF’s products will benefit our dealer-members and their customers.”

TDAF head of product and sales Sean O’Brien added: "TDAF is committed to empowering dealers with flexible financing solutions for their customers. We are very pleased that the NSADA has selected us as their trusted partner through this exclusive agreement.

“We believe that this partnership will not only benefit dealer-members of the NSADA, but will also help spur growth in Nova Scotia’s retail automotive industry,” he continued.

In separate news, TDAF is also offering insight next month at the 2012 Auto Remarketing Canada conference presented by CarProof. Andrew Ojamae, its national director of sales, is taking part in an F&I workshop titled “Dealer Advisory Panel: Financing Your Customer.”

The conference is being held April 16–18 at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto. More information can be found at http://arcanada.autoremarketing.com.
