Advent offers dealers a Parachute for a soft landing during system outages
Advent Resources wants to give dealers a soft landing in the event of a crash.
The creator of the Advent Advantage car dealership sales system has launched Advent Parachute, a backup sales DMS designed to give dealerships a reliable contingency plan during primary sales system outages.
The company said Parachute provides dealers with instant access to a comprehensive backup sales system for uninterrupted operations with full desking and F&I functionality.
The system allows dealers to e-contract, generate digital retail and lease documents, execute credit submissions and maintain in-store and remote electronic signing capabilities, Advent said, adding it also gives dealers live inventory access.
Advent said it deployed the Parachute sales system to hundreds of dealers nationwide during the recent CDK cyberattack and sales system outage that affected major competitors.
“Like many of you, the past month for us has been challenging, to say the least,” Advent Resources CEO Ben Gill said in a news release. “Stepping in and helping our industry and dealers with a backup sales system was the least we could do.
“We all realize that crises can lead to progress, which is why we launched Parachute. It’s the insurance policy the industry desperately needs, where far too many dealers put all their eggs in one basket by relying on a single tech stack without a backup plan. Parachute fills that void, ensuring dealerships can operate smoothly and securely no matter what challenges arise.”
