ATLANTA -
Total Resource Auctions revealed Friday that it has taken on control of 22 facilities that were previously part of SADISCO. These auctions are spread across seven coastal states of the South and bump TRA’s network size up to almost 100 facilities.
“This expansion is further evidence of Total Resource Auctions’ long-term commitment to become a national provider in the insurance industry,” said Mike Broe, executive vice president, U.S. operations, Manheim. “With the addition of these 22 locations, we will significantly expand our capacity throughout the Southeast, a key region in the salvage business.”
Each of the facilities will change their names from SADISCO to TRA titles.
Half of the additions are Florida, pushing the total number TRA facilities in that state up to 16. Expansion in Florida, in particular, allows TRA to be able to better take care of customers’ needs during catastrophes, which often occur in the hurricane-prone Sunshine State.
In having these facilities join the network, TRA now includes 96 auctions.
“While Total Resource Auctions has continued to build a solid infrastructure through the years, the addition of SADISCO locations gives us significant capacity to better meet the growing needs of insurance customers throughout the region, especially when it comes to catastrophe capacity in the gulf and on the eastern seaboard,” stated Bill Tiedemann, vice president and general manager at TRA.
The following markets are where TRA is now operating, thanks to the expansion:
—Florida: Fort Lauderdale, Miami, West Palm Beach, Tampa, Fort Myers, Ocala, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Opa-Locka, Sanford, DeFuniak Springs
—Virginia: Richmond, Suffolk, Wytheville
—South Carolina: Columbia, Florence, North Augusta
—North Carolina: Charlotte, Raleigh
