Upstart Online Wholesale Inventory Company Partners with Web Design Firm
Road Dealer — an Illinois-based corporation working exclusively with dealers to assist them in buying and selling wholesale used vehicles online with no transaction fees — on Monday partnered with DealerFire, a Wisconsin-based custom website design company.
The companies believe their agreement will further the success and profitability of dealers across the country because store management will be able to use Road Dealer’s wholesale buy and sell platform on a DealerFire user-friendly custom designed website.
Executives acknowledged it took a year of test marketing in the greater Chicago area market before Road Dealer made a choice.
“The choice was simple. Choose a company that is innovative, progressive and values customers and hometown values. We found that in DealerFire,” Road Dealer management said.
Since 2010, Road Dealer insisted it has taken the “pain-staking” task of trying to reduce used inventory and put it online.
“Previous ways of selling used inventory, such as an auction or brick and mortar, is losing traction, and Road Dealer’s wholesale inventory website is gaining traction in the industry as a true problem solver,” the company declared.
“Road Dealer was formed with the plan there was a better way to move used inventory off a dealer’s lot,” the company added.
Road Dealer pointed out transportation, commission and auction fees are rising while technology is advancing. As a result, Road Dealer said it now services more than 100 dealers in Illinois with an average of 5,000 used vehicles.
“Road Dealer is a true inventory sourcing tool for all dealers across the nation,” executives stressed.
Meanwhile, the company pointed out DealerFire was born out of the back of a Jeep Grand Wagoneer on its way from a month long road trip from Oshkosh, Wis., to San Jose, Costa Rica, in 2003.
“Just two guys armed with degrees in French and social work, a youthful entrepreneurial drive, machetes and the idea they could shake up the automotive industry,” DealerFire recapped.
“Today they are now armored with their expert ability to provide great digital marketing, optimized websites, mobile marketing, application development and professional services,” DealerFire went on to highlight.
This is "an entire team of designers, developers, marketers all with a great attitude, dedicated to keeping their dealerships ahead of competition,” the company added.
