SACRAMENTO, Calif. -

Dealer consignment was “huge” this week at Brasher’s Sacramento Auto Auction, said John Brasher in his post-sale report from Tuesday.

Brasher noted that all segments of the market made strong showings at the sale, including trades and lease returns. He pointed particularly to SAA’s Ford sale as “very strong,” and to a positive rental promotion with 125 units from Enterprise Rent-a-Car.

“Dealers have reported for the month of September a really strong Labor Day weekend, and kind of so-so weeks the last two weekends. But overall, they needed inventory, and the bidding was strong today,” Brasher said.

The auction will introduce its Gold Lane at next week's sale, featuring 75 units that Brasher called “completely guaranteed, front line ready, certified, inspected vehicles.”
