MOUNT ARLINGTON, N.J. -
The International Automotive Remarketers Alliance announced late last week that all remarketers at EMKAY have successfully passed the IARA Certified Automotive Remarketer Program, making it the only fleet management company to have its entire remarketing team receive this honor.
Earning the certification from IARA were Les Lynott — the manager of EMKAY’s vehicle remarketing and fleet analytics department — as well as territory managers Mona Spoon, Dave Thomson and John Elizaga.
Only 13 other professionals in the remarketing industry are certified, IARA noted.
Explaining the program in more detail, officials said it delves into remarketing channels, presale activities, actual-sale activities, post-sale activities, legal and ethics issues, and terminology. There are 20 course exams that remarketers must pass in order to be certified.
“EMKAY is the first fleet management company where all remarketers have achieved this premier designation,” stated Matt Marks, IARA’s executive director. “EMKAY’s remarketers are four of 17 people in the world to have achieved this distinguished honor.”
Meanwhile, Lynott emphasized how important it is for the remarketing industry to continually build upon its knowledge.
“The IARA certified program falls directly in line with our culture of representing ourselves in the most professional and credible manner to our clients and within the industry,” Lynott shared.
Moreover, Lynott pointed out that going through the certification program helped EMKAY boost the proactive consultation it provides to clients, thus allowing the customer experience to be improved.
