Latest ARTS Webinar Draws More Than 1,100 Registrants
More than 1,100 dealership managers, inventory personnel and salespeople registered to hear from four of the top industry trainers during the most recent Webinar of the Auto Remarketing Training Series.
Dealers who might have missed the valuable recommendations can find a recording of entire session already online. The last quarterly training event took place Tuesday afternoon and included presentations from Carfax, AutoTrader.com, DealerTrack and OPENLANE.
The Webinar kicked off with a discussion about how much vehicle history is tied to consumer value. The presentation was by Jay Luna, the process improvement manager at Carfax.
Luna shared ways dealers can overcome the four most common issues that cause consumers to be fearful and apprehensive when shopping for a pre-owned vehicle.
Next, Brian Skutta, general manager of the Trade-in Marketplace at AutoTrader.com, came on to show how the company’s new inventory-building process can be an outlet for dealers.
Not only could this process boost inventory, but Skutta also demonstrated how it could leverage a transparent trade-in process to drive gross and positive CSI.
As the Webinar continued, Doug Hadden, the senior manager of training and development and strategic accounts at DealerTrack, joined the panel.
Hadden emphasized how critical it is for dealers to find the core vehicles that correspond to their market. When doing so, Hadden believes dealers have a true inventory management plan to maximize gross profit be it through wholesale or retail means.
Finally, Ed Berkowitz, the vice president of OPENLANE, delved into the ways dealers can benefit from finding wholesale vehicles online.
Besides scouring a wider selection, Berkowitz believes dealers can save time and money using the Internet to find inventory without solely depending on a physical auction.
Each of the Webinar presenters also fielded questions from dealers as the quarterly event came to a close.
Dealers can find all of these presentations by Carfax, AutoTrader.com, DealerTrack and OPENLANE here.
Auto Remarketing is already making plans for the next ARTS Webinar, which is scheduled for early in 2011.
