TORONTO -

Manheim Canada revealed its new director of business/product development this week, appointing longtime industry veteran Don Wallace to the role.

When he officially begins his tenure on Monday, Wallace takes the spot previously held by Cheryl Munce.

Munce recently moved over to serve as general manager at Manheim Toronto.

Wallace comes over from what was formerly known as Chrysler Financial Services Canada (now TD Auto Finance Services). Wallace’s most recent position during his more-than-two-decade tenure there was as national remarketing manager, a post he began in 2007.

In his new role, Wallace will head up Manheim Canada’s online sales team, online product development and its Canadian Trade Desk.

“I’m thrilled with my new position and joining the Manheim team. In working closely with both Manheim executives and auction personnel over the last several years, I know there is a real family culture of support and encouragement,” Wallace shared.

“I look forward to sharing and enhancing my knowledge of remarketing to support the growing dealer business and opportunities while shaping the new products and services from both a Canadian and former customer perspective,” he continued. “New e-business initiatives will continue to enhance Manheim Canada’s nationwide value proposition through ‘customer-centric’ buying and selling tools.”

Brad Hart, vice president of operations for Manheim Canada, added: “We’re excited to have Don on board. As a Manheim Canada Client Advisory Board member, and a customer who has always challenged us to continuously improve, Don brings an invaluable perspective. His innovative style is a perfect match for Manheim’s commitment to digital solutions.”
